Before you begin, you'll need the following:
Fresh KDS Account.
Don't have one yet? Get started with our Free Trial and follow the steps to complete the registration process.
Strong Wi-Fi Connection.
*Note: Fresh KDS will not work if you use your talech device as a hotspot.
Step 1: Download the Fresh KDS App.
Download the Fresh KDS App onto your dedicated tablet.
Open the Fresh KDS app, and log in using your account credentials.
Follow the prompts and give your screen a descriptive name like "Espresso," "Bar," or "Kitchen."
Select 'Talech' as your POS system.
Step 2: Configure Fresh KDS as a Printer in talech Register.
Before you begin, ensure your Fresh KDS tablet and talech POS are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
Launch the talech Register App on your talech POS device.
From the dashboard, navigate to Back Office - Settings.
Tap to select ‘Printers’ on the left navigation menu.
Click ‘Auto Detect’ to search for your Fresh KDS. Once detected, it will automatically pop up as an available printer.
Do not set Fresh KDS as the Customer Receipt Printer. If talech auto-fills this field with your Fresh KDS IP address, tap and change it back to ‘No Receipt Printer.’
Tap to select your Fresh KDS device.
Enter a new Printer Name.
Under Printer Model, change the value from KDS to SP700.
Under Order Ticket Printing, select the Categories and Tags to send to your KDS.

Tap ‘Test Print’ to verify the printer connection.
Tap ‘Save’ to complete the printer setup.
*Note: Follow these configuration steps on each talech POS device that sends orders to your kitchen.
Step 3: Place your Fresh KDS tablet in the kitchen.
Choose where to place your Fresh KDS screen.
Some place it right above a prep station.
Others find that mounting it on a nearby wall with a waterproof case is best.
If using multiple screens, be sure the name matches the station placement.
