Cross Screen Communication is a powerful feature that allows you to clear orders from multiple screens simultaneously, or to send orders from one screen to another (advancing orders along a chain, similar to a traditional ticket bar).

NOTE: This feature is only available to users on the "Advanced" pricing tier. Users on the "Basic" tier will not be able to activate this feature without first upgrading to a higher tier.

How To Enable Cross Screen Communication

  1. Ensure both devices are on the same WiFi network

  2. Open the Settings Menu within the Fresh KDS app.

  3. Tap on Screen Communication.

  4. Toggle Screen Communication On

  5. Tap Scan at the top right of the screen

  6. Tap Configure next to the desired screen

  7. Select either Multi Clear or Send to Next Screen.

Multi Clear: When you clear an order from the screen or individual item from this screen, it will be cleared from another KDS screen or screens of your choosing on the same network.

Send to Next Screen: When you clear an order from the screen, it will appear on another KDS screen or screens of your choosing on the same network.

Note: This is a ONE-WAY CONNECTION, meaning that the current screen will communicate with the screen(s) you select. If you would like for the connection to work BOTH WAYS, you will need to setup the feature on your other screen(s), too.
